SADRC had three representatives at Winterton Show’s 10 miler an undulating alternative to Heckington in north Lincolnshire which offers free entry to the show and a tractor themed medal. Steven Dowse was 11th overall in 59.18 followed by Leanne Rickett who managed to beat her time from last year and also achieved a post covid 10km pb within the race. Next in was Rebecca Atkinson in a time of 01:30:28 who had a chatty run making friends with the run organisers in the process and gaining a new nickname of Top Gun. All were expertly photographed by Darren Fissenden who managed to sneak in a breakfast burger whilst waiting for our finishers.
Saturday saw Andy Johnson travel to Norfolk to complete a windy Holkham 10km (An off road course within the grounds of Holkham Hall) in 46.18 finishing in 47th place and 3rd in his age category.
This weeks Wednesday night event was the brutual Croxby 2 lapper, a challenging but brilliant course measuring at just under 9 miles. Paul Jackson was 6th home in 57.23 with Janet Harmston finishing in 87.53.
Finally we had several of our members attend our friends at Louth athletics turn, turn, turn social event at Biscathorpe involving a post run pizza and beer.
